Volunteer with us!
At Autism Plus we welcome volunteers in wide range of roles, from learning support, the retail environment at one of our charity shops to our social enterprise businesses.
Whether you are a student, parent or carer, retired or just looking to do something great for a good cause, as a volunteer at Autism Plus you will be joining a fantastic team, meeting new people and really doing something worthwhile - helping people with autism and learning disabilities.
Get in touch below to let us know where and when you would like to volunteer.
I suffered from depression and anxiety and spent a lot of time at home by myself. I decided I wanted to get out and do something, not just for me but for my family. I plucked up the courage to apply for a volunteer position at the Autism Plus charity shop as I shopped there from time to time.
I’m so happy I was brave enough to do this as it has built my confidence up. I have gone from volunteering one day a week to three days a week, five hours a day, while my children are at school.
I no longer suffer from anxiety and depression. I absolutely love coming to volunteer and thoroughly enjoy my days in the shop. The staff and volunteers are very friendly and make me feel relaxed and confident. I love being able to serve the customers and help do the window displays. I am grateful to have had this opportunity to learn new skills which I know will help when I apply for paid employment.
"We attended a Coronation afternoon at Ashcroft with our son who lives at Hillcrest. What an amazing afternoon we had! I would like to pass on our thanks to the staff concerned for organising the occasion. The food and drinks were delicious and plentiful. We were made to feel very welcome, the staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Once again THANK YOU to everyone involved in making the afternoon a success, even the weather was good!"Donate Today
