Pride in Hull 2025

Last month, some of the people we support joined the Pride in Hull parade – and what a brilliant day it was!

It was the very first time taking part for both individuals, and for one person it was also their first time stepping out into the community dressed as the gender they identify with. This was an incredibly special and empowering moment, and we were so proud to be there to walk alongside them.

Events like Pride are a powerful reminder of why inclusive opportunities matter. Taking part supported people’s confidence, independence and wellbeing, and created a safe space where they could express who they are without judgement. It also gave our staff the chance to show how we listen, respond and adapt support to what is important for each individual.

We are committed to making sure the people we support feel safe, respected and included, both at home and in the wider community. 

Thank you to Pride in Hull for such a welcoming, inclusive celebration, it meant so much to the people we support, their families and to our team.
