A Year of New Experiences, Skills, and Opportunities
08 December 2025This year, our care teams have worked hard to provide person centred support that helps people make choices, try new experiences, and build confidence. From first holidays and days out to summer fayres and camping with llamas, we have helped people access activities that promote choice, independence, and social connections.
Our carnival room at day services has been a hub of fun and sensory engagement, while our co-production group has given people a real voice in shaping the services they use. Many participants have also taken part in employment and volunteering opportunities, gaining new skills and meaningful work experience that contributes to their confidence and wellbeing.
Alongside these activities, we have continued to improve the environments where people live and socialise. We opened new bunaglows in Hull, and several homes have been redecorated to create comfortable, welcoming spaces. We have celebrated long serving staff who go above and beyond every day, and welcomed visits from groups such as the Health Action Group, highlighting our commitment to quality, safe, and inclusive care.
At Autism Plus, we believe that everyone should have the chance to try new things, develop skills, and enjoy meaningful experiences in a supportive environment. Our teams are proud to make this possible every day, ensuring that the people we support are at the heart of everything we do.
"I've been able to meet a new group of people at the job group, I've managed to find jobs to apply for, and make friends!"
