A brilliant adventure for people we support in Thorne!

A group from our Thorne Supported Living service recently enjoyed a unique experience, visiting a local alpaca retreat and spending the night camping in the countryside.

Everyone had the chance to meet and spend time with the alpacas at their own pace. One person we support shared a peaceful moment with an alpaca who settled down beside them on a blanket, a calm, quiet moment that really stood out to the team.

The trip was a chance to enjoy something different in a calm and supportive environment. It gave people the opportunity to explore new surroundings, enjoy the outdoors and take part in activities that supported relaxation, wellbeing and confidence.

A big thank you to our fantastic support staff who planned and supported the trip. Their thoughtful approach made sure everyone felt safe, included and able to enjoy the experience in their own way.
