Gordon

Gordon had been living in temporary accommodation, he has autism so this wasn’t a suitable long term environment for him. His dream was to live in his own home with his own garden, he just needed a little bit of support to help him live independently. With the help of Autism Plus, Gordon was able to make his dream a reality.

When Gordon first met his support worker from Autism Plus, John, they clicked right away. From the moment Gordon got the keys to his new house, John was there to help him adjust to his new home. John is helping Gordon build life skills and confidence. Together they now take trips into town, visit the local park and do more of Gordons’ favourite hobby, gardening.

With John's support and encouragement, Gordon has been gaining more independence every day. He is now able to live independently and enjoy his favourite hobbies with the peace of mind that he has support when he needs it.
