Gordon

Gordon has autism and found himself in temporary housing, which wasn't suitable for his long-term needs. His aspiration was to have a home with a garden and live independently. This is dream that became a reality with the support of Autism Plus.

Upon meeting his dedicated support worker, Gordon felt a connection straight away. From the moment he received the keys to his new house, his support worker's support proved invaluable in helping Gordon get used to his new home. Together, they focus on building life skills and encouraging confidence, which has made a significant impact on Gordon's life.

Gordon and his support worker engage in community activities, explore the local park, and share a love for gardening. With ongoing support, Gordon has achieved incredible strides in gaining independence. Now, he lives comfortably in his own home, pursuing his favourite hobbies, and knowing he has support whenever he needs it.
