Mark, Michael and the two Jake's

Mark and Michael are housemates and best friends in their home in Easingwold as part of supported living with Autism Plus. They both decided it was time to unwind and have a holiday, and with help from their support workers, the two Jake's, they decided on a week at Centre Parcs, Whinfell Forest in Cumbria.

After unloading their things in the log cabins, the guys were eager to head to reception and hire some bikes! Michael was hoping for a tricycle as his confidence wasn't great. Unfortunately, there weren't any, but with support from Mark and the two Jake's he was soon riding around the park! Michael enjoyed cycling so much he decided he would like a bike at home!

Mark also enjoyed many achievements during his holiday. The range of activities available gave Mark the chance to try new things, and like Michael, he would like to continue these at home. Mark said, "My holiday was very nice, I liked swimming and biking. It helped me to start exercising more".

With a little help and guidance from the two Jake's, Mark and Michael had a great holiday! The two Jake's also had an amazing time. "It was a pleasure for us to be able to share the experience with Mark and Michael. Thanks for inviting us along lads!"

"I would give them 100 per cent. They are amazing, they have changed my (family member’s) life. My (family member) has achieved so much, because they have put in so much. It was a year since (family member) moved in and they had a really big cake for (family member), to celebrate."
