Ellie, Jason and Paul

At the end of September, Ellie, Jason and Paul visited Disney Land Paris!

Ellie, Jason and Paul had a great time. They went on the rides, saw the Wild West Show, and Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Tigger and Eeyore joined them for breakfast one morning! The trip was magical, and over the week each individual had many achievements.

With guidance from his support staff, Pauls confidence grew over the trip, and by the end he was leading the group around the park! Paul had a great time posing for pictures with the characters and particularily enjoyed the Walt Disney Studio Tour, Paul even went on the Slinky ride!

Jason had a week of 'firsts' on his trip to Disney Land. Having never travelled abroad, the whole experience was an achievement for Jason, and one that he is very proud of! Since returning home, Jason has worn his Disney t-shirts, and proudly shows everyone the memorabilia he bought at the gift shops!

Although the 3 friends socialise at parties and activities, for Ellie, this is the first time she had been away with Jason and Paul, and to socialise with a different peer group is a big achievement for Ellie! Her achievements didn't stop there! Ellie's biggest achievement of the week was that she was comfortable around the characters, even holding hands with them! Ellies support worker Vikki accompanied her to Disney Land and told us she was so proud of Ellie and her achievements.

"A very person centred service, very highly skilled staff, super knowledge around Autism and how this impacts on the individual and their family."
